What Gmail permissions Bye asks for (and why)

Why permissions appear

To clear Spam or Trash and detect blocked senders, an app needs Gmail API scopes that can read and modify those messages. Google shows a consent screen so you can refuse.

What Bye commits to

Use data to provide blocking and cleanup features.
Follow Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use.
Not sell your email content.
Process payments via Stripe (card data stays with Stripe).

How to decide

Read the consent screen. Check the Chrome Web Store privacy disclosures. If you are not comfortable, use Apps Script inside your own account instead. Skepticism is healthy for any mail tool.
