Bye is for senders you have decided should not remain visible in Spam or Trash after a block. It is not trying to replace a full inbox zero suite.

When to use which

Drowning in newsletters → unsubscribe/cleaner extension.
One hostile or unwanted address keeps appearing in Spam after Block → Bye (or Script).
Both problems → you may want both categories of tool.
